Age Concern Community Support Project

ADP is working with Age Concern in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to carry out a longitudinal evaluation of Age Concern’s Community Support Project.

The evaluation will draw out learning points to influence project delivery and lead to an overall evaluation report, due in 2010, demonstrating the effectiveness of each nations’ individual community support project and the overall programme.

These reports will be used to show how effectively the programme has achieved its stated aims and outcomes including improvements in the provision of information and advice services; improvements in access to information and advice services, particularly for BME service users; impact on reducing the isolation of older people through service delivery; and the impact of the programme in influencing local, regional and national policy to be more inclusive of older peoples needs.

Throughout the evaluation ADP will work closely with the Project Co-ordinator and project workers from each of the four nations to provide support and ensure that the agreed evaluation delivery targets and measures are achieved.
