Age Concern Community Support Project
ADP worked with Age UK in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to carry out a longitudinal evaluation of its Community Support Project.
The evaluation was carried out to identify learning points to influence project delivery and led to an overall evaluation report that demonstrated the effectiveness of each nations’ individual community support project and the overall programme.
The evaluation reports considered how effectively the programme achieved its stated aims and outcomes including improvements in the provision of information and advice services; improvements in access to information and advice services, particularly for BME service users; impact on reducing the isolation of older people through service delivery; and the impact of the programme in influencing local, regional and national policy to be more inclusive of older peoples needs.
